SANDY WAGER
In my art work I strive to capture the vivid memories of my childhood, sometimes adding strange surrealism in my works.
All my paintings are original and, I hope, bring joy and humour, sometimes sadness, to all people of all ages.
I prefer to use acrylic paints but experiment with other media including textiles.
I was born in Colchester in 1953 and now live in Plymouth in Devon.
In the early 1990s, I unknowingly fractured my spine during a parachute jump, Over the years since then the condition has worsened and in 2007 I retired form the working circuit and began to paint fulltime.
I run an art group on FaceBook for Plymouth and Devon artists as I am passionate about promoting the wealth of talent that is on our doorstep.
