Ursula Radford
Entertainments promoter, writer and broadcaster, Ursula has painted since childhood, works in many media and is inspired by the countryside, children, folklore and the worlds of yesteryear. In the 1990's she developed Conspectus Art from techniques she observed in mediaeval cartography while animation experience provided yet more techniques she added to work that achieved popular appeal in Europe, the USA, British West Indies, Africa and Australia. In her landscapes she now captures the early mapmaker's difficulty of accurately locating features... then, with her own eye-appealing ability, places all things where they are most relevant. Her work now includes dream-style landscapes, rustic scenes and interiors from bygone days that invite memory and imagination to combine as the observer recognises the humour and finds peace that is ever present in her relaxed, and relaxing, style of work.
