Pat O'Reilly

Mrs Norah Patricia Bond also known also as Pat O'Reillv and Pat Bond
I find it easier to talk about my art than put it into words. It's easy to relate the stories behind my pictures.
Since childhood I've been fascinated by colour.
I started to paint with oils, and have gone on to use acrylics and gouache.
I've found that in formal art classes, my tutors rarely understood what I was painting.
I'm inspired by colour and texture, I draw houses and cottages -people's homes, I paint as I see - nobody understood this unfit ( attended an art class in Plas Mawr, Conwy where I fascinated my tutor. Because I was embarrassed by my art I always sat by myself during our classes. I can't draw a straight line!
I started painting when I moved from Shrewsbury to North Wales, a friend encouraged me to paint.
I met Maria Primrose Shrigley when she exhibited in Llandudno Library. She was able to tell me that I wasn't alone in this style of painting and referred me to ABNA.

I have exhibited some of my work with The Royal Cambrian Academy of Art, Plas Mawr, Conwy
LL32 8DE. I have visited the Rona Gallery in London.
