Linda Frances Trott
Born in Kenty, England in 1946, Linda went to Paris to study French in 1968, and has lived there ever since. She started painting in 1970 and since 1980 has participated in over 50 exhibitions both in France and worldwide, notably, Australia, United States, Japan and Canada. She has been a regular exhibitor at the major art shows in Paris, including the Salon International d'Art Naif, le Salon d'Automne, the Salon des Independants, and the Festival d'Art Naif in Verneuil.
She is listed in the BENEZIT (1999), the official list of painters. She is also profiled in the book bhy V. Carapic "Naive Art in Australia, Canada and Europe". Her paintings are to be found in numerous private and public collections including some museums, such as the Museum of Naive Art in Beraut, France (32). Certain paintings have been reproduced in Art Editions and Greeting Cards.
A recurrent themeof her work are the scenes of the cosmopolitain and animated streets of Montmartre, Paris, and other villages, but also family life with its celebrations and intimate moments.
