JUDY JOEL has not had any formal art training and simply paints from the heart. She was educated at a Convent School in Sussex, and in 1965 became a Production Assistant at the BBC, where she met her husband Paul, a Production Designer.

In 1971 she left the BBC and became a full time "Mum", and started to paint.Art and creative pleasures being always very important at home, both her children are also artistic.

Judy comes from a large and united family and had a bright and happy childhood. Her naive paintings reflect this contentment and warmth. Most of the paintings she does are commissioned by people for themselves or others.
She has painted peoples houses, gardens, schools, villages and weddings, aswell as over 60 Christmas and Greetings cards for charities and private companies. Her trade marks are her "mouse" signature and the white fairedfigure of her Mother "Katie" with a dog, which can be found in every painting.
