Possibly, I have been influenced by my bohemian childhood of running free along the beaches of East Devon in the l950's with only my dog as companion, and being surrounded by the works of Rossetti, Ruskin and their contemporaries at home, and it might be my way of expressing these wonderful times.

I feel a compulsive urge to produce my unconventional images using watercolors and acrylic inks on a variety of surfaces. Usually I paint at our beach hut or at home.

I realise that there are others who are feeling the same way; I would like to take this opportunity to share with them my enthusiasm and interest in, what is for me, a newly discovered world of naïve painters.
